Guide & FAQ

Everything you need to create, animate, and go viral.

What is ScrollSlop?

ScrollSlop is an AI content factory for creators who make short-form videos.

You create a character. You write a script. You record a short driving video. ScrollSlop animates your character delivering your content.

The result: scroll-stopping avatar videos — fast, repeatable, endlessly customizable.

Who is it for?

  • TikTok and YouTube Shorts creators
  • Meme pages and faceless channels
  • VTubers and AI content creators
  • Anyone who wants to pump out viral video content without showing their face

Why is it called ScrollSlop?

Because we're honest. Most viral content is slop — and that's not an insult. It's a compliment. Slop is what stops the scroll. ScrollSlop gives you industrial-grade tools to make it faster, better, and weirder.

Slop Today. Legend Tomorrow.

Your First Video

  1. Create your accountGo to scrollslop.app/register. You get 25 free credits when you sign up.
  2. Create a characterGo to the Characters tab. Upload any character image — cartoon mascot, VTuber avatar, illustrated character, anything.
  3. Write your scriptGo to the Scripts tab. Create a new script. Add an episode. Write your content. Or jump straight to the Animator if you already know what you want to say.
  4. Record your driving videoRecord yourself (or anyone) delivering the content on camera. This drives the animation. You don't need to be on screen in the final video — just in the driving clip.
  5. AnimateGo to the Animator tab. Upload your character and your driving video. Hit "Animate My Character." Processing time varies depending on video length, server load, and character complexity — anywhere from under a minute to up to 10 minutes. You'll see a progress bar.
  6. Add captionsGo to the Captions tab. Upload a subtitle file or use AI transcription. Edit, style, and burn to video.
  7. Export and postDownload your finished video. Post it everywhere.

Character Tips

What works best

  • Cartoon characters and mascots
  • VTuber-style avatars
  • Simple illustrated characters
  • Bold, expressive faces — the more personality the better

Image tips

  • Front-facing or ¾ angle
  • Clear background or no background
  • At least 512×512 pixels
  • JPG or PNG, under 10MB

Hand and finger colours: Avoid characters with patterns, textures, or multiple colours on their hands and fingers. This reduces animation quality on hand movements. Edit your character so hands and fingers are a single, solid colour for the cleanest results.

Character Locking

Save your character once. Use it across every episode of your series. Consistent character = recognizable brand.

Building a faceless channel

Pick one character. Lock it to your series. Record all your driving videos in similar lighting. Your character becomes the face of your channel — you stay off camera entirely.

Stage your recording for the result you want. Before you hit record, set up your environment deliberately. Choose your background, lighting, clothing, and framing to closely match the final output you're aiming for. The AI performs best when the driving video already looks close to the intended scene — this reduces trial and error and gets you a better result on the first try.

Glasses: Not required to remove, but if your character doesn't wear glasses, removing them while recording improves how your eye movements and expressions transfer onto the character.

Script Studio

What is it?

The Script Studio lets you organize your content into series and episodes. Think of it as a writer's room for your channel.

How it works

  • Create a Script (your series name)
  • Add Episodes (each piece of content)
  • Write the episode content in the editor
  • Mark episodes as Draft / Ready / Done

Generate from Episode

When an episode is ready, click "✨ Animate from This." Your episode content gets loaded into the Animator as the prompt. One click from script to animation.

Series management

Keep all your episodes in one place. Track what's done, what's in progress, what's next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Good slop is fast, surprising, and rewatchable. Short clips (under 30 seconds) perform best. Bold characters with expressive movements. Clear audio or subtitles. Weird is good. Unexpected is better.
Depends on the length of your driving video, server load, and character complexity. Short clips can finish in under a minute. Longer or more detailed videos can take up to 10 minutes. You'll see a progress bar — don't close the page while it's processing.

Absolutely. That's one of the main use cases. Create a character, lock it to your series, record driving videos from behind the camera, and your character is the only face your audience ever sees.
